KH Chain of Memories Review                          Reviewer: Daniel Cerone  |  Kingdom Hearts COM

    Synopsis:

The game play could have been better as well.  Cards are used in the battlefield which usually spells

disaster for a game, but this system actually worked out ok.  Button commands are easy and easy to

learn and you get plenty of battles to sink your key into.  You will also be visiting the same worlds as the

past game, Kingdom Hearts, such as Wonderland and the countless others.  You don't fly around in a

ship and you do meet up with Donald and Goofy.  The way you navigate about is through the Castle

    Oblivion.

The next Kingdom Hearts game, Kingdom Hearts Chain Of Memories, is on the Gameboy Advance and lets just say...  The transition from PS2 to Gameboy wasn't smooth in my opinion.  The story goes that Sora is walking down the path he was taking with Donald and Goofy in the last game when they come to a crossroad and Sora stops to look at the night sky.  Suddenly, a strange man in a black coat appears to Sora and says "Ahead lies something you need, but to claim it, you must lose something dear."  When Sora looks to see where this came from, the man pulls a Houdini and disappears into the dark night.  Once gone, only one path in front of Sora remains; the path to a castle that has spires as pointy as Sora's hair named Castle Oblivion.

From here it is non-stop talking.  After awhile it just gets so very annoying.  It is understandable that the Gameboy Advanced doesn't have the computing power to save its life, let alone show video explain the plot, but it became ridiculous.  Words were always all over the screen and rarely were interesting conversations.

We have nothing much more to say about this game except for the fact that it was average and nothing revolutionary like the first Kingdom Hearts.
